Blog helper nets $3.3 million in capital

Lijit Networks Inc. has secured $3.3 million in venture capital funding.

The Louisville company's technology allows readers of blogs to search the online journals for information.

Lijit CEO Todd Vernon was the subject of a March 5 article in the Rocky Mountain News about his efforts to attract venture financing at a venture capital conference in Beaver Creek.

Boulder Ventures led the latest funding. Lijit had attracted earlier funding from Colorado Fund I, managed by High Country Venture, and Colorado venture capitalist Brad Feld.

"This investment will allow us to keep pace with our growth curve, continue development of new and exciting features, and explore new partnering opportunities," Vernon said in a news release.
