Female Entrepreneur Launches Contraceptive Pill Text Reminder Service

Nicola Jennings, the Managing Director of a Mobile Services company called 'Mobile Services 898 Ltd', launches a 'Contraceptive Pill Text Reminder Service' called 'MyPill.'

The service has been launched from her own personal experience of being on the contraceptive pill. The inconvenience of having to remind herself to take the pill each day, especially at a particular time and taking into account how easy it can be to forget, Nicola has launched the service to make the taking of the contraceptive pill easier.

www.mypill.co.uk is dedicated to this service.

Her focus is to educate the estimated 3.5 million women throughout the UK who are on the contraceptive pill, that a 'text reminder service' is available.

Statistics show how easy it is to forget/miss taking the pill as the following research indicates:
a.In one study, 88% of women missed pills on two or more consecutive days and up to 51% missed at least three pills per cycle (Ref:Potter L, Oakley D, de Leon-wong E, et al. Measuring compliance among oral contraceptive users. Family Planning Perspect.)
b. In one study one in five young women forgets to take her contraceptive pill at least twice a month. (Ref: Contraceptive manufacturer Organon – source BBC.)
c. Commissioned by Evriwoman 3,000 mothers were surveyed and those on the contraceptive pill, 70% said they forget at least once a month, 10% forgetting to take it four times or more.
The survey also showed that its not just teenagers who are being complacent about contraception but older women too (source BBC.)
d.From the Omnibus survey, about 20% (approx. 200,000) of women who reported using emergency contraception did so because they "missed/forgot to take the pill".

The 'text reminder service' is very easy to use. A text message is sent to your mobile phone as a simple and very discrete reminder to take the pill each day, keeping you on track and making the pill taking process much easier.

Have you ever forgotten to take the pill?
Do you worry about forgetting to take the pill?
No longer do you have to make a note to yourself, set an alarm or try to remember each day, this great 'text reminder service' is solely dedicated to all women who take the contraceptive pill so no more excuses to forget.
If you take the pill exactly as prescribed, including taking the pill at the same time each day when required, then its effectiveness is likely to be 100%.

Its very easy to join.
Its only 25p a text (Any charges will be identified on your normal phone bill. Costs only incurred when you receive a text message.)
You can 'opt out' of the service any time.

How it works:

The Combined Pill/Combined Oral Contraceptive (C.O.C) i.e.The 21 day pill with a 7 day pill break:
To accept the service, you only need to send one text stating:
1.'MSE'
2. The exact date you start the first pill in your next pill pack
3. The exact time you take the pill each day (using the 24 hour clock)
4. 21.
For example 'MSE 3rd Nov 9:00 21' to 81222.
A text message will be then sent to your mobile phone starting on the 3rd November, at 9am for 21 days, then no text will be sent for the following 7 days (no pill taken), then you will receive a text for the next following 21 days and so on.

OR

The Progestogen only pill (P.O.P) formerly known as the Mini Pill i.e.The pill with no pill break
and
The Combined Pill/Combined Oral Contraceptive (C.O.C) i.e. The 21 day pill with a further 7 day dummy pill:

To accept the service, you only need to send one text stating:
1. 'MSE'
2. The exact date you would like to start the service
3. The exact time you take the pill each day (using the 24 hour clock)
4. 28.
For example 'MSE 5th Nov 13:00 28' to 81222.
A text message will be then sent to your mobile phone starting on the 5th November, at 1pm everyday with no text breaks.

Important note – This service is only available to over 16's who have been prescribed the contraceptive pill by their GP.
At any time just text 'MSE stop' and no text reminder will be sent to your mobile phone.
