Online Coupon Use Increases with Income 6.18.2007 [more]US coupon usage, both on paper and online, increases with income, according to a PriceRunner survey conducted by Amplitude Research in April 2007.

Nearly three-quarters of respondents, all of whom were Internet users, had used at least one coupon online within the previous six months. Almost one in five had used online coupons six or more times in the previous six months.

Nearly six in 10 respondents with annual household incomes under $35,000 said they had used an online coupon at least once in the prior six months, while nearly three-quarters of those with annual household incomes between $35,000 and $74,000 said they had used such a coupon at least once in the previous six months.

Among those with annual household incomes of at least $75,000, 84% said they had used online coupons at least once in the prior six months.
